The Brief
The last thing you’ll see me doing in my free time is putting together furniture. A box full of IKEA parts is what I define as my circle of hell. Go for an assembled option or leave the instructions and execution to my husband.
So when SunHaven offered to send me fully assembled outdoor furniture, music to my ears! I jumped at the chance.

For this review, I’m focusing on the furniture because I’ve had the Kensington set on my patio for the past year.
The base of the pieces is made with high-quality, rust-resistant, powder-coated aluminium or steel frames and double-width resin wicker. The cushions are made with 5-inch-thick, ultra-plush Olefin fabric, a type of polypropylene fibre. And the fun part is choosing the style and colour you want.
For me, I opted for the Kensington Grey 9-Piece Wicker Set. It includes a four-seat sectional sofa, two club chairs, two armless sofas and a coffee table. The neutral grey colour works with just about any outdoor colour scheme, so I’m confident it can remain a staple for years.

Is SunHaven Outdoor Furniture Comfortable?
Each seat has a capacity of around 325 pounds, and after spending plenty of time on the furniture, my guests and I can vouch for how sturdy and comfortable the pieces feel.
The cushions are particularly plush. The 5-inch Olefin cushions give the furniture a softer, more relaxed feel than many basic outdoor seating sets. The Kensington collection is also designed with modular pieces, allowing the arrangement to be adapted to different outdoor spaces.
In fact, my husband has decided that the sofa is now his favourite place to take a nap.
How Does SunHaven Hold Up Outdoors?
Outdoor furniture has to deal with much more than normal indoor furniture. Sun, rain, moisture and temperature changes can all affect materials over time.
The Kensington collection uses resin wicker and powder-coated aluminium, both selected for outdoor use. The cushions are made from Olefin fabric, which is designed to be durable and suitable for outdoor furniture.

Does SunHaven Require Assembly?
This is probably my favourite feature.
No assembly required.
That’s right. You don’t have to spend an afternoon sorting screws, deciphering diagrams or wondering why you have three pieces left over after supposedly finishing the job.
The furniture arrives assembled, so you simply position the pieces where you want them, add the cushions and enjoy your patio.
The Kensington collection is also sold as modular furniture, with sectional clips used to keep the pieces securely together.
For someone who dislikes furniture assembly as much as I do, that’s a major advantage.
How Much Does SunHaven Furniture Cost?
Generally, outdoor furniture isn’t cheap, particularly when you’re buying a complete seating arrangement.
At the time of this review, a set of three club chairs and a table was around $1,400, although pricing varies depending on the individual pieces and combinations selected.
Because the furniture arrives assembled, you’re also paying for convenience. There’s no need to spend hours putting the pieces together, and you don’t have to hire someone to assemble them.

For me, yes.
The biggest selling point isn’t just the appearance of the furniture—it’s the convenience. Having an outdoor furniture set arrive fully assembled means I can spend my time actually enjoying the patio instead of trying to figure out which screw goes where.
